Agency Development and Construction Projects

The Lakeland Housing Authority is actively advancing several major development projects to address the growing need for affordable housing in Lakeland and across Polk County. Our long-term vision is to increase the number of affordable housing units by at least 50%, ensuring continued support for families, seniors, and individuals in the local community.

Upcoming Development Projects

92 multi-family units planned for Twin Lakes Estates Phase III
100 multi-family units planned for 10th Street development
100 multi-family units planned for Combee Road development

Construction on Twin Lakes Estates Phase III is expected to begin in the fall of 2026. Construction is anticipated to last 18 months, with the tenant selection process expected to begin in 2027. Please refer to our 2025 Annual Report for more information.
