Lakeland Housing Authority Earns HUD SEMAP High Performer Designation with Perfect Score
The Housing Authority of the City of Lakeland (LHA) proudly announces that it has once again achieved a “High Performer” designation from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP) for Fiscal Year 2025.
LHA received a perfect SEMAP score of 100, reflecting the agency’s continued excellence in administering the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program and its commitment to providing quality service to residents, landlords, and the Lakeland community.
SEMAP is HUD’s national performance measurement system used to evaluate Public Housing Authorities administering the Housing Choice Voucher Program. The assessment reviews critical operational areas including waiting list management, rent reasonableness, annual inspections, tenant rent calculations, leasing performance, compliance monitoring, and overall program administration. High-performing agencies demonstrate exceptional operational effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and accountability.
This recognition continues a long-standing tradition of excellence for Lakeland Housing Authority. According to HUD records, LHA has consistently maintained High Performer status with perfect SEMAP scores across multiple assessment years, demonstrating sustained operational leadership and organizational stability.
