Responsabilities:

Will be responsible for maintenance support in general repair, carpentry, plumbing, masonry & electrical.  More specifically, job duties will include but are not limited to:

• Basic plumbing: Garbage disposals, kitchen sink, replace toilet bowls
• Basic Electrical: GFI & basic outlets, ceiling fan, and switch replacement
• Basic repairs to appliances: refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers & dishwashers
• Basic Construction: concrete, floor, drywall, and demolition
• Operating power and hand tools in completing maintenance tasks
• Cleaning surfaces including mopping/waxing floors,
• Operates pressure washer and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Operates LHA motor vehicle to all sites for various maintenance duties
• Assists in loading and unloading equipment, materials, and supplies
• Ensuring policy, procedures, regulations, and laws are followed
• Recognizes and alerts supervision to safety and health hazards observed on grounds and building
• Maintaining building grounds, including clearing debris
• Plan and cultivate lawns and gardens, rake, mulch, and compost leaves
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs and hedges using shears, pruners, and chain saws
• Trim and pick flowers and clean flower beds
• Assists other maintenance crew in various tasks

Qualifications:

• Special skills in one of the trades preferred; gas appliances preferred
• Ability to move, assist, and/or help lift items or awkward weights
• High School diploma or GED required
• Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License
• Must be at least 18 years old and be able to follow verbal and written instructions

Full-Time Hourly (Monday thru Friday) availability to work overtime and some weekends when necessary. Eligible for incentives up to 8% of salary after 6mths of experience
