The Housing Choice Voucher Program
The Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly known as Section 8 Assistance) is funded by the Federal Government. This program provides rental assistance to low-income families in the private rental market.
Lakeland Housing Authority forms a partnership with families and landlords to provide housing opportunities throughout Polk County.

The Section 8 / Housing Choice Voucher Program will be moving from it’s current location at our Central Offices to a larger, more spacious facility located at 1818 Harden Avenue to better serve you! The move date is tentatively set for the week of August 1st through the 5th, at which time equipment, furniture and files will be relocated; Obviously, this will be a busy time, so please bear with us..
